La revista Inti, tuvo la oportunidad de realizar una actividad con los niños que tenían problemas con su dentadura, gracias a que se dio la posibilidad de poder pagar el gasto del material que utilizo nuestra encargada de marketing Silvia V. Argani  (quien es odontóloga de profesión), quien curo los dientes de nuestros niños.

Esta actividad lo realizamos, porque vimos por conveniente que los niños  necesitaban hacerse revisar los dientes, que son susceptibles de sufrir un proceso de putrefacción (caries) y no siempre tienen la oportunidad  de ir al dentista puesto que no cuentan con mucho tiempo ya que la mayor parte lo pasan trabajando y lo que no tienen  es dinero y con eso de las clases les es dificultoso ir a hacerse revisar sus preciados dientes. Además sin contar con ninguna información adecuada de tener una alimentación sana y el cepillado diario de los dientes los cuales ayudan a evitar que aparezcan problemas en la boca y que es necesario que el tratamiento dental sea precoz para evitar complicaciones serias, ya que los dientes, a diferencia de la mayoría de otros órganos, no son capaces de regenerarse.

 Algunos de los asistentes al dentista fueron muy valientes porque sus dientes ya estaban muy lastimados y tuvieron que ser pacientes con la cura de estos.

Inti magazine recently had the opportunity carry out an activity with the children who had problems with their teeth. This was possible thanks to our head of marketing Silvia V. Argani (dentist by profession) who treated the children's teeth and allowed us to pay only for the cost of the material.

We organised this activity because we recognised that the children need to have their teeth checked regularly as they are very susceptible to decay and they don't always have the chance to go to the dentist because they don't have a lot of time as they spend most of it working. Also they don't have a lot of money to have their precious teeth checked. Furthermore, they don't have a lot of information available to them about having a healthy diet or brushing their teeth daily and this would help them to avoid problems appearing in their mouths. It is also vital that dentistry treatment is administered early to avoid serious complications, seeing as the teeth, unlike the majority of other organs, aren't capable of renewing themselves.

Some of the children who attended the dentist were very brave because their teeth were already very damaged and they had to be very patient during the treatment of these.

…. that ants are very useful as they protect the environment against elephants. Imagine a close combat fight between elephants and ants. Who would win? Do not let yourself be mislead by what you see… because the little ants are very clever, they found the elephant's Achilles' heel to attack them, the weakness of those pachyderms. But they do it for a very noble purpose, when the elephants come close to the acacias of Kenya. If the tiny animals were not there the elephants would ruthlessly devour everything they found on their path. Also they know when they are going to die. It is strange but that is why to put their life in danger looking for food far away from the ant´s nests.

… who is the biggest living being in the world? It is a mushroom called Armillaria Ostoyae, also known as the “honey mushroom”

… that the planet Venus had oceans but that these evaporated because of high temperatures that reached about 482 degrees. And also that Saturn's rings are not as big as seen from our point of view. In reality, these rings are thin rings that are linked to each other by the force of gravity of the planet.

…. que las hormigas son de gran utilidad, puesto que protegen el medio ambiente de los elefantes; te imaginas un combate cuerpo a cuerpo entre las hormigas y los elefantes ¿quiénes crees que ganen? No te dejes llevar por las apariencias…. porque las pequeñitas tienen mucha astucia ya que encontraron el” talón de Aquiles” para atacarlos, punto débil de estos paquidermos; pero lo hacen con un propósito muy noble ya que los elefantes se acercan a las acacias de Kenia. Si no fuera por los pequeñines devorarían todo lo que encontraran a su paso sin piedad. Además estas saben cuándo van a morir, es curioso pero es por eso que ponen su vida en peligro buscando alimentos lejos de los hormigueros.

…..quién es el ser vivo más grande del mundo? Pues es un hongo llamado Armillaria Ostoyae, conocida también como la “seta de miel”.

…… que el planeta Venus tuvo océanos, pero estos fueron evaporados por altas temperaturas que llegaban aproximadamente a 482 grados. También que los anillos de Saturno no son tan gruesos como aparentan cuando el ojo humano los ve. Ya que estos anillos en realidad son anillos delgados que son unidos entre sí por la fuerza de la gravedad del planeta.
