Focusing on the future can be helpful when it comes to taking control of your own productivity and achieving your goals, but there's a downside we don't often acknowledge. As many of us know, focusing on the future can sometimes turn into worrying about the future. While it's important to be curious about the future, it's equally important to stop obsessing about the future once it becomes unproductive or detrimental to what you're doing right now. When you constantly worry about the future, you don't have time to live in the present. This prevents you from thinking clearly and being fully invested in what you're doing right now. This is something you need to work on ASAP. If you don't, you'll always find something to worry about because the future never arrives , and you'll also waste a ton of energy along the way.

I spent many years of my life trying to control different people and situations and worrying about the future.
