Let me tell you about my best friend
Let Me Tell You about Jasper...: How My Best Friend Became Americas Dog by Dana PerinoOne of the best books Ive read so far this year! If you are a dog lover, you will LOVE this book!
I loved Danas previous book, and this one is even better because the two Viszlas, Henry and Jasper, that she and her British husband, Peter, have owned together are the stars of the story. I had a lump in my throat when I read about Henrys death. I snickered at the photoshopped pictures of Jasper at the end of the book. I sympathized with Dana, because as a dog mom, she worries about Jasper when shes away and wants to know how his day was. It is just a fun, fun book to read.
Let me tell you about my best friend...(Cro Version)
On Wednesday 30 January, nurses and midwives across Ireland will strike protest over their current working conditions and there will be further strike days if things do not improve. If that's not a cause for a rant now and again I don't know what is. Today, I thought I'd take the time during my working day to write about someone who never moans about her work. She was always a caregiver She'd zip up my jacket and tie my laces, unbeknownst to the both of us, she was actually six months younger than me. It made perfect sense when she decided to study nursing. So, sticking to our pact of never leaving each other's side we headed off to the same university in Dublin, giddy with the thought of our prospective careers.
