By the time the family arrived at the hospital a few minutes later, Adam was in complete heart failure. For months, Adam waited in a hospital for a heart transplant, during which time his heart was only able to pump with the assistance of a left-ventricular assist device LVAD. Meaning, basically, a virus of unknown origin had attacked my heart.

It is celebrated to encourage people to donate organs. Heaven knows we need them here. And life is not worth dying once you have someone to live for. Today I am working towards college graduation and have wonderful plans for the future. Thank you for my new heart, and my new life!
