Goodbye Poems for Friends: Farewell Poems in Friendship
Studies have shown that loneliness can be detrimental to health. They discovered that lonely people had a 50 per cent increased risk of early death, compared to those with good social connections. In contrast, obesity raises the chance of dying before the age of 70 by around 30 per cent. Friends and family are important to our wellbeing. However, there are a plethora of poems about family members so I decided to focus on the harder task: poems about friendship. These poems come from a variety of eras and viewpoints and include themes of friends lost, friends to the world, and also bad friends.
What are some of the feelings that one might feel when a friend passes away? When someone that is special to us is gone it can be difficult to continue living life. Things that were special to you may begin to seem pointless when you don't have that special person to share it with. All of the things that you did together are reminders of the loss that you have suffered. Do yourself a favor and take the time to mourn your loss. As you go through the five stages of grief; denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance, memories of the good times you spent together may bring a smile to your face instead of a painful grimace.

Poems about Love and Friendship
Prev Poem. Next Poem. I see his body on the ground, Broken beer bottles all around. He thought that he would go for a ride and have some fun, He lays there pale and cold, like ice, Why did he have to pay that price? If only i could hear his voice, Why did he have to make that choice? Looking down at the ground were he lays, Waiting for his voice to say I'm Ok It feels like my heart went cold, Please, Lord protect and take his soul and I promise 'til my dying day In my heart he will always stay. In remembrance of Scott Pace.
