The Adam and Eve Story: The History of Cataclysms by Chan Thomas

The latest video from the Bright Insight channel brought up this book I knew nothing about. After reading it, turns out this book might be the Necronomicon of the topics of catastrophism and Ice Age civilizations.

It had around 284 pages, was written back in 1963 and got published through a regular publishing house. It talks about our planet being locked into a cycle of pole shifts, earth crust displacements, that are the ones that have caused most of the mass extinctions beyond those caused by massive meteors (such as the one that produced the Chicxulub crater and wiped out the dinosaurs). Those mass extinctions would include the end of the last ice age, a time when 2 miles thick ice sheets disappeared from North America, Canada, and Northern Europe, and around 100 species of megafauna went extinct along with all the remaining species of human beings except for us. This book and other related texts argue that this cycle happens every 12,000 something years, and we are overdue for the current one.

It contains statements such as the following, said with the confidence of those backed by solid evidence, or of the absolutely insane:

So apparently once every few thousand years neutral matter escapes from the 860-mile-radius inner core into the 1300-mile thick molten outer core, and there is a literal atomic explosion inside the Earth. The explosion in the high energy layer of the outer core disrupts completely the electrical and magnetic structure in both the molten outer core and the outer 60-mile thick molten layer. Finally the ice caps are allowed to pull the shell of the earth around the interior, with the shallow molten layer lubricating the shift all the way.
You can see, then, that ice ages are not a matter of advancing and retreating ice; it’s simply that different areas of the Earth are in polar regions at different times, for different durations of time, with the changes between positions taking place in a fraction of a day.

The western coast of South America was not mountainous - the prehistoric city of Tiahuanaco, Peru, now at 12,500 feet above the Pacific, was then at sea level. It was a metropolis seaport, with a canal system for seagoing ships - as large as any we have today - traversing from the Pacific to the inland sea.
Astronomers of Tiahuanaco used telescopes like ours of today; and they had a huge satellite orbiting the earth - West to East, 449 times per year - which they used as a time standard, its orbit was so accurate.

About 11,500 years ago - in 9,550 B.C., as dated by astronomers from Potsdam Observatory from writings in the ruins of Tiahuanaco - the 60-mile thick shell of the earth shifted its position once more in ¼ to ½ a day, 7,000 years after the previous shift. The North Pole moved southward, and the Sudan Basin in Africa shifted to the North Pole. This was the time which the Talmud states was the setting of the Pleiades below the horizon, when the Holy Land was moved into a “region of terrible cold” for many generations - actually for 5,000 years until Noah’s flood, 6,500 years ago.

All in all, it could be discarded as a curious but in the end preposterous oddity from the sixties; after all, even my man Charles Hapgood, who wrote Maps of the Ancient Sea Kings (that furthers the hypothesis that the Piri Reis map of the 16th century was compiled from pre-Sumerian, likely Ice Age maps from one or more lost civilizations) also wrote a book on pole shifts, but Hapgoods version apparently was debunked long ago. Every time the pole shift thing gets brought up, the scientific community refers to works like Hapgoods to shoo the concept away.

However, the worrying part about all this is that this book Im reviewing, written by a Chan Thomas, a rather obvious pseudonym by the lack on information on the subject, cannot be found in its complete, 284 pages long form that was published briefly in the sixties, because it got classified by the CIA. In fact, everybody can download the 57 pages long sanitized version that got released back in 2016 as part of a FOIA request. Every page features the line Declassified in Part - Sanitized Copy Approved for Release. Thing is, this version of the pole shift hypothesis was the only one classified amongst all the others from that period (Charlie said it first merely three or four years before the publication of this book), and happens to be a version that adds an angle to the crust displacement hypothesis that would make it provable: that the trigger for it happens because of a chemical reaction in the viscous layer under the crust.

To go down the rabbit hole, watch the aforementioned Bright Insight video, and then Suspicious Observers series on the subject. One of the best early videos from that series is the following: video. It even has audio from astronauts from the Apollo missions (Apollo was the Sun god) who seem very interested in studying scorched and vitrified rocks, as if there had been a sort of secret intention of proving that the sun does indeed go micronova cyclically, which would trigger the aforementioned pole shifts due to the Earth being shotgun blasted with immense heat and thousands of radioactive materials. This hypothesis is not necessarily independent of the comet impact hypothesis, the idea that a comet or a bunch of them ended the Ice Age and that one of the Greenland craters recently found is the evidence; when a star goes micronova, part of its core gets ejected. Thats the comet stream you need for the comet impact hypothesis.

If you want to go deeper into conspiracy theory territory, consider that this Chan Thomas could have military connections, and the Cheyenne Mountain Complex which is part of NORAD was built, around the same time as this book was published, in a sweet spot that would have fared reasonably well in the apocalypse depicted in this book; or that the terrible movie 2012 is partially based on, or so they say, Hapgoods pole shift theory, although the events actually depict Chan Thomas version, and the CIA has been long known to slip references to classified stuff in Hollywood movies to test the publics response; or that a miriad of underground complexes that wouldnt suffer the destruction hypothesized by this theory, presumably financed through the Pentagons missing 21 trillion dollars, would explain the numerous and mysterious booms reported all over the country (which would actually be caused by underground construction work); etc. Finally, with all the previous information in mind, revisit the infamous frantic call to Coast to Coast from a couple decades ago. I had an uneasy night.

Adam and Eve - In the Garden of Eden - Animated Short Bible Stories for Kids - HD 4k Video -

I will go ahead and break the story of Adam and Eve down under the following captions.

The Story of Adam And Eve

Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden. God and Jesus came and talked to them. There were many trees in the garden. God said Adam and Eve could eat fruit from all the trees but one. Genesis ; — It was the tree of good and evil. If they ate fruit from that tree, they would know what was good and what was bad.

First-School MakingLearningFun. God took some clay from the ground and made the shape of a man. Then He breathed gently into the shape. The man's eye's opened and he began to live. God called him Adam. The Lord made a beautiful garden for him to live in. The garden, called Eden, was full of many wonderful things.

Adam and Eve , according to the creation myth of the Abrahamic religions , [1] [2] were the first man and woman. They are central to the belief that humanity is in essence a single family, with everyone descended from a single pair of original ancestors. In the Book of Genesis of the Hebrew Bible , chapters one through five, there are two creation narratives with two distinct perspectives. In the first, Adam and Eve are not named. Instead, God created humankind in God's image and instructed them to multiply and to be stewards over everything else that God had made. In the second narrative, God fashions Adam from dust and places him in the Garden of Eden.
