Penn Jillette threatens to sue Ray Comfort

Penn Jillette

Their two interviewees were Dr. Michael Shermer of the Skeptics Society. The video is available here. After watching it I was extremely impressed with Dr. Even with the editing and trust me, there was editing he still came off as intelligent, rational, and in control.

Hi guys, this is a video I ran across today. It's Penn and Teller, explaining why they believe the Bible is completely fiction. I want to show it because the facts that are shown in the video are interesting and I would love to hear opinions and debates. There is scientific reasoning within the video to show that the Bible probably isn't meant to be taken literally, and it also highlights the contradictions within the Bible, and the fact that there has been a lot of selective choosing on which messages are to be used in one's life and which ones are to be ignored. The only problem is that the video contained mild expletives. I wish it didn't, because it is a very thought provoking video.

The magical duo of the big-loudmouth and the small-silent-guy have a program on Showtime called Bullshit. It's all about debunking various myths and modern movements. They have an episode about recycling, ghost stories, endangered species, Feng Shui, etc. It's a great idea for a show, and generally fun to watch. They track down experts in the fields and grill them, putting advocates for and against the topic in fierce video-snippet battles.

Penn Jillette: Reading the Bible (Or the Koran, Or the Torah) Will Make You an Atheist

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff — we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity. The Bible is an anthology of books which Christians and, to a lesser extent, Muslims regard as holy scripture and as the revealed word of God.

Its format consisted of debating political topics, usually from a naturalist libertarian capitalist point of view the political philosophy espoused by both Penn and Teller [1] or aiming to debunk pseudoscientific ideas, paranormal beliefs, popular fads and misconceptions.
