My Father Is Better Than Me And I Can't Take It Anymore

Becoming a mom was life-changing—that's nothing new. What I didn't expect was for my son to change my father's life so drastically from the second he was born.

If someone is going to write something about the things between his father and himself, which title is more correct, "My father and I" or "My father and me"? When using that phrase as a title , both variations are valid. There is, however, a slight difference in meaning, I think.

My relationship with my father changed when I was four. Mom decided she had enough and left the marriage. My brother was seven, and up until that time I thought we were a happy family and my mom and dad seemed very much in love. However, mom felt ignored by my dad, who preferred to spend his time at work, with his volleyball team buddies, or hanging out with his parents. I knew he was lying, but it still hurt deeply.

My mom told me to take a seat, and then she started in. My brain was telling my body to talk, but no words were coming out of my mouth. It was like my whole body got completely filled up with rage. But the impact was so loud that my dad heard it from in front of the house and came racing in. He tried to console me, but I took off outside, sat down in the grass and cried some more. I was mad at …. All I could think about was how I was a person of incredibly strong faith, and now I was about to lose my father.
