the devil and the star

The Devils Star (Harry Hole, #5) by Jo Nesbø

A young woman is murdered in her Oslo flat. One finger has been severed from her left hand, and behind her eyelid is secreted a tiny red diamond in the shape of a five-pointed star - a pentagram, the devils star.

Detective Harry Hole is assigned to the case with his long-time adversary Tom Waaler and initially wants no part in it. But Harry is already on notice to quit the force and is left with little alternative but to drag himself out of his alcoholic stupor and get to work.

A wave of similar murders is on the horizon. An emerging pattern suggests that Oslo has a serial killer on its hands, and the five-pointed devils star is key to solving the riddle.

STAR OCEAN: THE SECOND STORY「the incarnation of devil」

Devil first then Star. I'm feeling a little stumped. I suppose one possible interpretation is, to quote Marvin Gaye, 'sexual healing' but in my case.

Devil & Star next to each other?

The Major Arcana tarot cards speak of the life situations we are in, and when they show up in our readings they tell us what situation the rest of the cards in the spread speak of. It can be a good idea to use reversed cards because Major Arcana cards will then be able to tell you if the situation you are in will be positive or negative. A reversed Major Arcana card can also be a sign to turn a situation around. Sometimes a reversed Major Arcana cards can mean you need to take a step back and incorporate the lessons seen in the previous Major Arcana card. For example; Strength reversed can mean you need to incorporate the Chariot into your life. The Chariot stands for healthy competition and being a go-getter. Go after what you truly desire and the Strength card will be turned around with all of its gifts available to you.

It is the card of hope and love. The Star denotes optimism and love of humanity. The zodiac sign of Aquarius and its ruling planet of Uranus rule the Star. The Star is depicted in many traditional and online Tarot decks with a nude maiden who is kneeling by a pool beneath. She is shown pouring water from two pitchers. A spiraling star is shown above her, symbolizing both rebirth and eternal hope.
