Oh, its a true mess, of a movie, but oh, what a wonderful mess (with one of the greatest film scores by Burt Bacharach). This book by Michael Richardson is an incredible history of the making of this convoluted cinema exercise involving the erratic nature of Peter Sellers, the continuously re-written screenplays, the directors, the cameos, the money spent, and the other BOND franchise legal battles over the making of this film. Its so padded with details, maybe overly so, but so good to read and hold and own for future reference when re-watching the movie.
