I started writing 'Because of a Woman' as a way to make peace with previous relationships and my commitment with vulnerability. For some time, I struggled to understand as a man what it meant to really connect with someone coming from a stoic-male society. My emotions were suppresed and until I saw beauty in people who truly wanted to help me unveil layers of my masculinity, I was as guarded as anyone else. This is where my journey began. Because of a Woman is a journey for truth, an outreach for a deeper self and a quest for vulnerability as a lightsource in spite of society's idea of exposure as an internal weakness. It is narrated through a series of poems and short stories to balance the reader's interest and highlight the writer's struggle to be open to being vulnerable.
