Giving Up can be so easy to do sometimes. Whenever you feel like the world is too much, your parents expectations get to you, or school is too overwhelming, the easiest words to say are "I quit. However I didn't. Whenever you realize that you are meant to have hardships, struggles, and most importantly life lessons you realize that you can't just simply quit, you have to press on to be the best you you can be. What kind of person would you be if you just suddenly gave up when things got too rough? Whenever times get hard, you have to remember what you're working towards. Whenever you look into the past of the people you want to be, you see that they went through their own struggles, and hardships just as you go through now.
As a refugee, I started facing rejection at a very young age. For starters, I fled my country when I was 8 years old and had to fend for myself when my parents disappeared for a period of 2 weeks. We went to live in refugee camps where we faced death right in the eyes every day. In these camps, malaria, cholera, typhoid, etc. We would wake up every day and find ourselves surrounded with dead bodies.
The philosophy, which is idealistic, is that as long as you keep working hard, eventually you'll get the result you want. You may have to find a new way around or improve yourself to meet the challenge, but as long as you don't give up, you'll find success.
