Keep your family well read

Growing readers want to read the best level 1 books — books with great stories and information that will keep them excited about reading., For the last week, I have been debating how to do this post. When it comes to Emergent Readers there are different levels depending on which Leveled Reading System you are using.

Kids ages 5 and 6 learning to read must practice reading — a lot! So they need the BEST emergent reader books with fun stories and engaging illustrations. Here are ALL my recommended emergent reader books also called easy reader books for your 5- and 6- year old readers who might be in kindergarten or first grade. Some of these easy readers are phonics based, some are leveled — levels 1 and 2, but ALL of the books on this list are kid-approved and engaging. Many of you know that there are a ton of really boring, dare I say dumb, emergent reader books out there that kids really dislike. Julie M.
