Desai and Dr. So I figured why not give this book a try. Maybe it is truly an excellent book, like the other two books I have read.

State St. Ann Arbor, MI Medical sociologists have long been fascinated with the process through which laypersons are transformed into physicians, uncovering the ways in which one learns, not just the facts of medical science, but also how to be a physician. Despite this abiding focus on socialization, nearly all of the literature on this process in the US is informed by studies of the medical school and residency years, with almost no empirical attention paid to the premedical years. Our study addresses this gap in knowledge. To better understand the premedical years we conducted 49 in-depth interviews with premedical students at a selective, public Midwestern university. We found that students understand and explain decisions made during the premedical years with narratives that emphasize the qualities of achievement-orientation, perseverance, and individualism.
Time is of the essence. Especially leading up to and within medical school, optimizing your time management skills and efficiency is paramount. I want to help you be successful in academics but also have time to enjoy yourself and lead a healthy lifestyle. More time studying does not always lead to a better outcome. Make sure you are using your time wisely. Take the time to critically look at what is working and what is not working in your study regimen. I made another video and post describing how to study efficiently.
