I think I remember in the end when the truths revealed we learn that a young sailor had his leg amputated and used as bait, and Pis mother was decapitated and we see her head sink beneath the surface of the ocean. no? Its been almost 10 years since I read it but those scenes seem to have stuck with me. Having said that, I think its something most kids can handle. If they dont find certain parts too slow

I think it would be fine for a year-old. One of the best things about reading is to be able to re-read a book again and again, getting different meanings out of it every time. And who knows? Also, I generally think that people should read what they want to read, regardless of age--kids and people who love reading usually know enough to police themselves. That being said, I'm not telling you what to do with your child--just giving my opinion.

It can sometimes be difficult to predict whether you are happy with a child viewing the content of certain movies. Is This Movie Suitable's aim is to provide helpful and informative reviews that highlight anything we feel you would want know about before committing your time and money to a trip to the cinema, movie store or streamable content. He is forced to survive on a lifeboat with a zebra, a hyena, an orang-utan and a terrifying tiger. He must learn to feed himself, make drinking water and all the time deal with the trapped beast he has to share his survival with. While any description of the plot could seem fantastical and childish, the events are actually very believable and will leave you wondering whether this story could really happen. The cinematography is wonderful with colours galore and a truly realistic CGI tiger.
