The look of love meaning
The Look of Love by Bella AndreChloe Peterson is having a bad night. A really bad night. The large bruise on her cheek can attest to that. And when her car skids off the side of a wet country road straight into a ditch, shes convinced even the gorgeous guy who rescues her in the middle of the rain storm must be too good to be true. Or is he?
As a successful photographer who frequently travels around the world, Chase Sullivan has his pick of beautiful women, and whenever hes home in San Francisco, one of his seven siblings is usually up for causing a little fun trouble. Chase thinks his life is great just as it is--until the night he finds Chloe and her totaled car on the side of the road in Napa Valley. Not only has he never met anyone so lovely, both inside and out, but he quickly realizes she has much bigger problems than her damaged car. Soon, he is willing to move mountains to love--and protect--her, but will she let him?
Chloe vows never to make the mistake of trusting a man again. Only, with every loving look Chase gives her--and every sinfully sweet caress--as the attraction between them sparks and sizzles, she cant help but wonder if shes met the only exception. And although Chase didnt realize his life was going to change forever in an instant, amazingly, he isnt the least bit interested in fighting that change. Instead, hes gearing up for a different fight altogether...for Chloes heart. (love story, contemporary romance, alpha males, heroes, sexy romance, bad boys, falling in love).
The Look of Love (1967 song)
Our Song of the Week this week is celebrating its 50th anniversary this Easter weekend. That's to say, if you'd been to your local fleapit in mid-April to see Casino Royale not the Daniel Craig film, but a very hit-and-miss spoof of , amidst all the leaden misfires and labored jollity, you might have perked up when wafting across the auditorium, for the very first time, came this:. The men who wrote that song were Burt Bacharach and Hal David, and they had a point. Indeed, it said even more after the attack on the World Trade Center at the dawn of the new century. He'd been sitting in a New York McDonald's tuned to some young persons' radio station when, instead of the usual ghastly caterwauling, "The Look of Love" drifted over the speakers. Unless I miss my guess, beauty is becoming fashionable again.

If you want to appear more attractive to the opposite sex, smile and look them straight in the eye, says new research. In tests on hundreds of people, a direct smiling gaze from a "possible mate" was a "look of love" that made that person appear up to eight times more attractive. The finding has emerged from a survey using computer-manipulated faces, where a basic face had gaze and expression altered in a subtle way that was not immediately apparent to test subjects, conducted by a team at the Universities of Aberdeen and Stirling. The research marks one of the first studies to see the effects of the direction of gaze on attractiveness. In the study, happy wide-eyed faces, disgusted narrow eyed faces and variants in gaze direction were presented to people, half men and half women. Faces with direct gaze that is, faces that are looking 'at' the viewer were judged more attractive than faces with averted gaze that is faces that were looking 'away' from the viewer , particularly when faces were both smiling.
