Peregrine movie dvd release date
Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children - Was the movie better than the book? Showing 1-50 of 53I watched the book before I saw the movie and I really enjoyed the movie, but ever since I read the book I have shunned the movie because they made Emma a feeble character that relied on Jacob, but in the book she was strong and independent and had (probably) one of the strongest powers.
The characters were poorly executed e.g. they didnt show enough of Millards smarts and knowledge and they didnt get most of the ages right.
Olive in the movie was like a horrid girl obsessed with Enoch, in the book she was an innocent lovely girl who was close with Bronwyn and she was only around 10 years old.
I found this a disgrace to the fabulous books that I have loved through out many years. it was poorly executed. it was as if Tim Burton skim read the first half of the book and then decided to make it up from there.
they also got Bronwyn very wrong she is far to young, in the movie she is around 10 and in the book she is about 13 (but acts 15 or so) and in the movie Bronwyn is loving, kind and a mother figure to the younger ones when miss peregrine is gone. but in the book she is just a little girl who lifts things up and throws stuff around
