Dr who whats in the vault
Doctor Who - The Vault: Treasures from the First 50 Years by Marcus HearnThis is one brilliant, enticing book. They may have well subtitled it EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT DOCTOR WHO THAT YOU DIDNT ALREADY. Unlike a lot of fly by night stuff, this one really delivers. The information here is amazing and it also reminded me that Im still pissed at the BBC because Ill never see The Daleks Masterplan or Evil of the Daleks. But, as a long time fan, I can take solace by the increase of my knowledge of Who. (And itll help me on jeopardy!) GET THIS BOOK if you are a Who fan.
What's In The Vault On 'Doctor Who'? The Doctor Is Protecting Something At The University
The Twelfth Doctor made a oath to protect the chamber for a thousand years. Like some other examples of Time Lord technology, the chamber was bigger on the inside. The interior resembled a nondescript room with some tables and chairs and, even though it was a sealed unit located underground, windows that allowed light to enter the chamber. A centrepiece of the chamber was a piano with which Missy amused herself. The chamber had Gallifreyan markings all around it and on both sides of the doors. A long time ago on a planet , the Doctor was given the duty of executing Missy , by use of a technology able to kill a Time Lord off completely. However, the Doctor fiddled with the machine and it didn't kill her.

Whatever its contents, it seems to be related to a promise the Doctor has made.
Once again, it seems the Doctor has made a promise he can't keep, but who did he make this unkeepable promise to? The Season 10 premiere of Doctor Who introduces a new mystery when it reveals the Doctor has spent the last 50 years at least teaching at a university in order to protect By the end of the episode, every Doctor Who fan in the audience had to be asking themselves, what is the Doctor guarding in that vault? Showrunner Steven Moffat loves his season-long mysteries, and it seems he couldn't resist concocting one more before his time at the helm of the TARDIS comes to an end. He's exiting the show after this season. The premiere doesn't give up any concrete answers about what's in the vault. Although, given the imminent return of both Missy and John Simm's version of The Master , it would make sense if the Doctor has been guarding a version of his fellow Time Lord for decades.

Then again, when is this show ever simple? The episode finally sets up some sort of larger plot for the season, which has been sorely missing from the first five episodes. Penny leaves and Bill, annoyed, follows the Doctor and Nardole to the Vatican to help the Pope and his cardinals with a problem.
