What is it about? Bernadette Fox is an odd bird. She lives in Seattle, and hates the city, including everyone in it. She promises her daughter a family trip to Antarctica, but then suddenly disappears before the trip. I had so much hope for this book and thought it could have been much better then it was. I feel like the last third of the book made the book and could have been what the whole book was about. Very disappointed in the much anticipated book. Where'd You Go Bernadette was the first book I had to read with my book club and although it wasn't horrible, it wasn't close to my favourite thing I've read this past year. I finished it and was left with the feeling that I won't not recommend the book, but I wouldn't recommend it either of course- unless it fit what someone may be looking for!
