How To Make Funnel Cakes
I feel like there are so many little festivals and craft fairs that pop up this time of year. You know, everything fried and delicious. I am a massive fan of funnel cake. Least favorite? Fried guacamole.
Why wait for the county fair to enjoy these fun fried cakes? Made this recipe for my kids last night and they were a hit! I did have to add more milk as it was a bit thick and I also added more sugar to make the batter a bit sweeter. With that they turned I made this as written, and thought it was flavorless. I halv I Think that is was great all it really needs like everyone say more milk and more sugar.
Use a plastic bottle to squirt out the pancake mix. Swirl the pancake mix around in circles as you squirt it into the oil. I went about 6 circles on this one. Make sure there are no lumps, whisking it I find works well. Place mix into plastic squeeze bottle. Cut tip off of bottle so that a smooth and steady stream of mix can easily come out.
You don't have to wait for a carnival to come to town to enjoy deep-fried funnel cakes. Make them at home with ingredients you probably already have on hand.
